Labyrinth moved with confidence matched by few. His prowess surpassed all rivals. The brute strode up to a river bank. He could see that the river curved here, looping toward him and then away from him. He stopped, just before the bank, and looked around. His paws were still heavy from his travels to this virgin land. His previous residence just wasn't any good anymore. There was no Tasitile there anymore and he hadn't seen even the faintest glimpse of Ignorance or Raizel. Growling lightly, he looked around in frustration. Raizel should be here, at his side, where she belonged. She was his prized daughter after all. For as many children as Lab had, Raizel was the only one he truly cared for.
The male came from a unique lineage where inbreeding was a part of life. Labyrinth himself had been mated to his sister. She had been carrying his pups when death had come to claim her. Labyrinth had changed after her death. It could only be expected as he had been kicked out of his clan and been stripped of his last name. He hadn't been a member of that northern clan for years now and since then he had triumphed on his own. Where he was once destined for a life of servitude, he was now an accomplished alpha.
No one knew him here, unfortunately and Labyrinth knew he would have to start from scratch. He claimed an island known as Korreai and so far hadn't done much exploring. The male moved down the slope and into the water. Tree cover lay on the other side and he was interested in finding a snack. Maybe he would find something more interesting than just food though...

Snap. The thin female flinched at the sound of a twig cracking under her paws. Be careful, be quiet, stealth darling. That was what had kept her safe, kept her on her own as well so far. Yet lately she seemed to be having trouble with the stealth thing. The problem with being Avyn on her own was that she was not strong enough to take down large prey on her own. But that was not a problem just yet.
Avyn picked up her pace, picking her way along towards the river that flowed here. Even just walking along nearby she had felt the power of the water. Such strength that never ceased in movement. Her crimson eyes gazed out over the water, entranced by it momentarily. It was so easy to forget everything around her when she had something to look at.
Of course her distractions from life were always rather short lived. The scent was her first warning that she was not alone. What a fool she had been, yes, it will all work out if she just acted so daft! Sometimes she couldn't believe she was alive. Being so foolish had earned her plenty of reminders to look where she went, but apparently she was very forgetful. Or just stupid.
Turning quickly, her eyes landed on another wolf. Male, bigger than herself no doubt, though he was far enough away she couldn't be sure. He was close enough to bring out the flighty part of her. A sense at the back of her mind that kept her alive, told her friend from foe and what was not safe. It told her to be wary, as always. Too many times did she learn lessons the hard way to go into this a fool.
He was mainly white, like herself, with markings of several different colors including a reddish brown and some grey perhaps. From here she couldn't get a clear view of his eyes, but she was pretty sure they were blue. Intriguing. But she didn't dare move. Avyn was aptly named, for her name sounded as flighty and skittish as she was. Instead she sat down, head tilted ever so slightly to the side as she watched him. If she had scented him then it couldn't be long before he noticed her presence. But what would she do then? Well, she would see.
OOC: Short post feels short. AVYN IS SUCH A SELFhATING WUUS I LOVE HER THOUGH!
