T he brute pulled himself onto the beach, and sat, exhausted, and panting from the swim. Though his muscles made an effortless task of the journey, he was not prepared from the violent waves, and it showed on him. The breath's escaped in shuddering gasps, but they calmed as he gathered himself. Sapphire orbs opened to view the past beach before him, and the distant forest where it was rumored a pack dwelled. He wanted somewhere to belong, perhaps this was his chance. Though he was hesitant to approach; not out of fear, but out of thought. what if the pack could not handle his level of talent? that was thr thought that crossed his mind. he had no inclanation to belong to a pack that would expect him to become docile, though he was no true beast, he was no pushover goody two-shoes either. Takbir stood, and twisted his head, the motion carried back to his shoulders, and down his spine, it trickled back his tail, and down his hind legs in a flurry of mist as he shook the water from his body. This made him feel lighter, and as he began his trot down the beach his fur dried, and flattened in the midday sunlight. Takbir carried his primary weapon high, but not as an alpha would hold his tail, he held his with blatent confidence that lacked any kind of fear. His claws were 'sheathed' at this moment, but he had decided earlier on that he'd fight anyone he'd have to to reach his objective, and so his body was forever tensed.
T ak climbed the gray-black rocks that dotted the beach, figuring the higher he got the better chance he had of being noticed, or noticing someone. So far this placed looked pretty empty, though the sand was littered with prints, most from prey, but there was a set of tracks that looked wolfish, and they belong to a fair sized one from the indent they made in the sand. He could smell the dog, but where was he? Tak took his time with searching, if he were to become a member of this pack, he'd need to know the land, and if he were to become an enemy, he'd know the terrain well enough to stage raids. He came to patches of black sand, knwoign this was the topsoil being mixed into the grainular substance he figured he'd soon find grass, but this was as far as he'd go. The scent barrier was beginning to pick up, and he did not wish to intrude, that was an act of disrespect, and he had no intentions of agrivating the leader of his potential home. Tak reclined back on his haunches, and like a great bear he stood carefully balancing himself on his hind legs. He was able to maintain that stance for a few seconds before he felt himself falling back, it was then he fell back onto his fours. he saw nothing.
H e was beginning to doubt his resolve in coming here, surely if there was a pack, some guard would've approached him for lingering by the boarder. No one had shown, and Tak was beginning to think that the scent barrier, while smelling fresh, was just a remnant of someone who had been here before. Just as he was about to turn away, and search for a land with more promise he figured he'd give this one a bit more time; after all he had come all this way. Tak sat back his body hugging against one of the nearer rocks; this would be where he'd wait for the alphen or some kind or guard to show. His ears plastered themselves to his skull as he released his voice into the trees, calling into the depths of the forest for the being he was looking for. hopefully they would not disappoint.

//. By the time Pyro had finally finished patrolling his borders the sun was high in the sky. Paws slightly sore he made his way silently through the small amount of woods on the southern edge of the island. As he walked towards a secluded area in the woods, well hidden by overgrown bushes and fallen logs he wondered how long it would be before he had an actual pack. While it had only been a few days, he was already getting slightly annoyed. Patience was not his strong suit. Finally climbing over the last rotting log, he found his place, closer to the place he deemed an entrance then anywhere else that had enough cover for Pyro to feel safe in where he was and get a good night sleep. After a bit of padding down Pyro was finally satisfied; He had checked all the boarders within the hour, and was ready to eat the rabbit he had buried here for later. He was just about dig up the fresh dirt when a sound split through the peaceful silence. Pyro was starting to get used to that serene emptiness about him. It almost was calming. This sound however was much more welcoming then the silence. It wasn't just a noise, it was the howl of a fellow lupine. Finally, someone had made the journey.
//. Although he was slightly tired from the trek around the island he had just finished he got to the boarders within minutes of the howl. Alert eyes scanned the beach. Slightly to his left was were some larger boulders, however he couldn't see any wolf. To his right was outstretched more boulders and sand for a while longer. After a moments thought he decided to go to the right. His choice was correct and as he made himself known he made it clear this was his land. He didn't have to say anything for you to get the impression that it was. The way he held himself, his confidence in the land that he stood in. He had only been the claimer of this land for about a week, but he had been combing this island every day since, making sure he knew everything about it before he even thought about recruiting. He scrutinized the wolf for a few moments before he said a word. He looked strong, and while his mutations weren't necessarily unique (he had seen so many more from where he came from) they weren't weak ones. He decided this wolf could easily dwell in his lands without a problem. But then again his personality was a whole other story. Just because he could be useful didn't mean it was going to work out.
//. The massive wolf sat, his head held high.
"Welcome to Fovos, state your name and business in these lands." He wanted to be sarcastic, wanted to figure this wolf out with conversation, not the usual questions any alpha would ask, but he'd have time for that later. At the moment this was simply business, nothing more, nothing less. This wolf was a prospect, and while he didn't necessarily know it yet, he was the one who had the upper hand. Because of this Pyro didn't want to offend him, or scare him off. If he did he'd be back to the where he was. But even with these thoughts swirling in his mind he kept his composure. There was no way this wolf was figuring out he had the power at the moment. This was Pyro's land, and after all this wolf had come here to join.[/blockquote]
