Sinis is a very old pack, and thus with it comes traditions that have passed through the generations; although some have been blurred along the lines. This thread also contains the 'beliefs' and 'lifestyle' of the Sinis. Traditions---------------------------------- 1. When a wolf is hurt or injured and is part of the pack, they are regarded as high priority and can request assistance from anyone other than the high tiers. (alpha/betas) 2. Females are considered the superior gender, as they bare pups. Ex- in a group of hunters, the leader of the 'hunt' will be of female, and if no females are present, then a male will be elected. This goes the same for each rank. 3. All loners/other packs will be treated as friend, until given a reason not to be. 4. but it is common for females to eat first in rank order. ex- alphess, alpha, beta female, beta male. B e l i e f 's --------------------------- The wolves of Sinis firmly believe in spirits, and that when you pass on to the next world, you are given an immense understanding of the world, and are gifted the ability to guide others. The sinis believe that they are stuck on this world, and as long as they are upon this earth, they are 'sins', until they pass on into the spirit world. Most wolves of Sinis are very religious orientated, and believe in many deities. please note, the above can and probably will be added unto as Sinis grows. C E R E M O N I E S----------- Once a year, the pack as a whole comes together to the waterfall to do a sort of 'cleanse' of all the past year's impurities. They will dip in the water, and the medicine wolves will give them certain herbs. The wolves with no partners will then depart the area, and the couples will sit in the moonlight and howl together. It is considered now, as much more of a social event, and an exciting treat for young wolves to have an excuse to pair with a female in song. Back when Sinis was only beginning, this ceremony was considered a cleanse of sin, but not as much anymore.
