Dark violet eyes fluttered open, glancing around almost lazily. She was absolutly exhausted. What happened sue couldn't place either. Recently she had only had a few conversations, so obviously she hadn't been near many others. Maybe it was good her memories played tricks on her. No guilt because her own form of reality was so scewed. Well, maybe that wasn't all true. She did get this weird twist in her stomach sometimes thinking about her mom. But that happened waaay back when her mind was more... Sane.
The female sighed, rolling over and looking around. Note to self: sleeping inside a tree is less fun than you think it is. She had spent a night inside of a hallowed out tree to see what it might be like. She just hadn't really counted on the fact that trees are for squirrels and not wolves. When she attempted to stand on her long striped legs, she found there was a problem. She couldn't actually stand up. Glaring at just the world in general, she proceded to try and lay down again and shove herself out of the opening. but then her hind legs were too far up and she ended up flopping on her back. Wiggling back and forth eventually got her out of there, even if a lives or two of black fur was left behind.
Shaking her fur out, Aeg gave a satisfied grin at her accomplishment. She had come out to... Um. Well do something she was sure. Maybe she ought to work on having goals. Or at least something to do for the day. She fell over onto her side and stared up at the trees. They were so big and... Treeish? Whatever. Maybe aeg was just not a morning gal. That was probably it. Glancing around, she noted a stellar lack of wind. She liked wind. Why was it all gone? Oh, right. this was a valley and she got here like a day ago. My how tolime flew and stole her memory with it. Or maybe that was just the madness. It like taking. Feelings, memories, friends. Things of that nature.
Turning around, she got up, walking slowly through the trees and half searching half wandering. She sort of felt like talking, but to who? Not like she knew many around here. Or any. She streched, hips rising towards the sky. Standing again, she blinked the sleepy feeling from her eyes and tried to better wake up. Mornings were always so annoying. Finally she was awake enough to get moving. Right when she caught the scent of someone nearby.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,480,true] | [bg=030303] It was spring, and the wryly man was fully appreciative of the season. The forest around him was in full bloom, and his growing interest in the opposite sex had also decided to bloom. Jackel was a man of little taste, for he took what he could get- rather the quality of said wolf was beautiful, or ugly. He viewed himself as a god; and anyone would be lucky to even be in the presence of such a stud.
The man had a flimsy grin on his face, carefree and curious with everything around him. It was morning, and he felt rather frisky; wanting to shake off the disgruntling feeling of being terribly alone. Jackel inhaled the morning's air; twitching as a new scent caught his short attention span. He swirled his head, looking curiously into the direction the smell wafted. A female, no less- wandering alone. His interest was instantly peaked; and he grinned wildly, moving toward her.
The cocky man moved inwards, behind her; watching her curiously as she walked. A pretty little lady, he mused shifting pleasantly onto one foot; before taking a small leap forward. I like the way you move, he called, walking up to her so his body rubbed agaisnt her side, his face holding an extremely excited grin.

If she wasn't herself, Aeg might have gasped or cried out in shock at the sudden approach of this wolf. But she was herself, and herself hardly reacted even when she was surprised. Instead her dark eyes slid to the side and glanced at the male who had come. Ah, the time of annoying pestering ones. They always did figure our how to make this crazy girl mad, even without trying. Perhaps that was why she was more a loner kind of girl than a pack animal. She didn't need anyone else anyways, so why should she want them? The last time she depended on anyone was when she was a pup, and that didn't turn out too well. She sighed softly, just as the loud words erupted from this young male's mouth. Oh joy.
Her ears pinned back and she instinctively took up a defensive posture as the russet red wolf rubbed himself against her side. She quickly retorted, And Aeg likes notice when others are gunna come rubbing themselves against her. Yeah... It might have been a good idea for him to be more careful, but this time of year, that wasn't always on the boy's minds. And how she loathed it too. Her muscles tightened as she considered teaching this one a lesson, but she quickly dropped the idea. If there was one thing from her past that was useful, it was the time she was told, 'thinkers win over reactors. Take a minute and make an effort to think things through before you go off hurting everyone who annoys you! There are always consequences for your actions Aeg.' Of course that wolf was dead now. Or, she sure hoped they were because whenever her past came sniffing around it gave her nightmares. Not to mention the idea itself was just unpleasant.
She turned slowly, stepping to the side so she could look at this foolish boy without him glued to her. There was little to him that interested her really. He had typical rusty red fur, nothing unusual really. The emerald green eyes were okay, but what he did have that kept her from trotting off and leaving him where he stood wasn't his looks. His whole demeanor was that of a self assured kinda guy who thought he could get any girl he pleased. At least that was what his face told her, with that wide grin and his body language in general. It almost made her want to laugh. The only way she saw him living through the next few weeks was by not getting on the bad side of someone who could end him. Which may or may not include her. She could never trust herself not to hurt someone, and she certainly didn't continue acting the same all day long. Well, she used to, but not now, and not with this brat.
She blinked at him, purple eyes studying this wolf once more to make sure she had missed nothing about him. The only thing he could possibly have to him might be a hidden mutation like she had. Outwardly Aeg wasn't super special, but her bite was incredibly deadly and so far she hadn't found anyone who survived it. Maybe there was a cure for it out there, she didn't know, but it really didn't matter because anyone who got bitten had majorly pissed her off. A yawn dragged itself out of her throat, and she took a second to recover from it before speaking again, You're either stupid or something else. What's your name? She didn't bother dragging it out or sounding anything but direct. She wanted to know, and so she would. If he hadn't caught it already, she had in fact given her name. Or a piece of it anyways. That would be good for now until she decided whether or not she hated him.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,480,true] | [bg=030303] He ignored her retort, being use to the way a lady would at first cringe at his overly ambitious wiles. They would fall for him eventually. He could guess that Aeg would be her calling, and he tilted his head accepting the dubbing.
He waited on her, a smile still spread across his naive face. She pulled away, and studied him. He could guess she probably thought he was a very extravagant man. Her eyes made him excited, beautiful purple pools to navigate through. Purple really was his favorite color, if he'd had to pick one. The lady made no attempt to hide the slight tones of anger, and he made no attempt to hide the growing interest he found with her. Jackel waited to reply, being momentarily caught off guard by being called stupid.
The names Jackel, he cooed, seething with flirtatious tones. He inched closer once more, wondering how much Aeg could take. And you are one heck of a pretty specimen. He muttered, giving her a cocky grin and shaking his fur for a moment. Oh, she would melt in his paws; or so he thought. The man was always one to get his way, even in his old home he was quite the ladies man. Except that, he never could settle for one- why would he, when there were so many pretty little things that would love him?

Her eyes narrowed as he simply ignored her venomous response. Just shrugged it off. Oh, he really must be some type of moron. But what kind? Not crazy like she, oh no. She could sense when someone else was any kind of crazy at all, and he was just a young male, no mental problems. Of course, maybe his problem was just the lacking of good judgement. Well, she could fix that real quick for him if she saw fit. It would only take beating the crap out of him once, she figured, before he would learn real quick that not every female was going to fall for him. But that would spoil her fun. She was going to sit here and get some entertainment out of this. Her own acting skills were probably quite rusty, but she didn't really need to act. Her crazy mind could help her. That, and the fact that this wolf seemed to lack the ability to sense when he was in the presence of someone who was inclined to try and rip his head off.
He actually smiled, and she got the feeling that her studying him wasn't something he disliked. Oh, now that was just disturbing to her. She was definitely older than him, and she sure didn't want him making any moves on her. Besides, Aeg didn't really love anyone. Only one wolf had ever been cared about by her, but her crazy quickly had her end him. Why would this male be any different? He wasn't any better looking than the one she loved, and she had the sneaking suspicion he had little to offer her. Just his stupidity and annoying attitude. Sometimes she wanted to clock all males over the head and make spring not be a season. That would teach them... Heck, smacking even one in the face sounded like quite the enjoyable idea. Maybe if this fool made her too mad, she would try it out! Oh, what fun.
He gave her his name, and she had to say it fit somewhat. Though, in a way she thought maybe he should have been given another. He wasn't the kind of wolf she would have saddled with that title. Jackel. It implied that he might be cunning in some manner, and she really didn't see that at all. He had no sense of subtlety at all, and it was eventually going to get on her nerves. Maybe if she had the patience, she could teach him a thing or two. The secrets to survival were everywhere if you knew where to look and who to ask. She herself could show him a thing or two about being more careful. Not that she used her own example or ever was too careful, but she had her venom to back her up. Unless this wolf had something like that on his side, she could see him needing help. Of course this whole idea was based on if he could not make her too angry. And the continued flirting could eventually make her snap at him. Who was she kidding, she would like snapping at him as much as he wouldn't, maybe more.
He actually stared at him straight in the eyes as he added more. Yes. He must be really dumb or crazy in a very special way. What the heck did he mean she was pretty?! She wasn't pretty! Nope. Okay, maybe, but half the time vanity of any kind made her head spin and frankly she never bothered thinking of herself in that light. A pretty specimen... What, like something to look at? Study? Oh, if she wasn't in control of herself right now he might just have some trouble on his paws. She paused and frowned a this. Wow. She must be seriously messed up to get all riled over being called pretty... But, what could she do about it? She tried to fight it, way back when she was only just going crazy. But it had been no use! Look what happened! A whole bloody past created by her own weakness and inability to stop it. Now that did sort of get to her core. She forced herself to take her mind back to this red pelted wolf. It was not the time to go having breakdowns and thinking about before.
A deep breath was drawn into her lungs and she exhaled softly, relaxing now. If she was going to bother with this one, she couldn't go and attack him for something unrelated. She looked at him with her deep violet eyes and forced a half smile, Really now? I didn't think that at all. You aren't too bad... But why are you wandering around, Jackel? Let it be said that Aeg was not totally incapable of trying to be flirtatious. It might be weak, but at least it would keep him around long enough for her to decide what she really thought about him. What was he, a spoiled little brat? Maybe, because that would make a lot of sense. If he thought he could have what h wanted, then he must think she would melt within a little time. How funny it would be when he found this was not so.
