Woo, we really are all with the contests and suchness, huh? Anyways, I know that a lot of you have some super amazing ideas. Don't we all? So Silence is issuing a call to arms for our amazing artists and writers! Time to get creative!
A few things I want everyone to consider before you begin with this, and you better read 'em all because there's a quiz for everyone to take too! (jk, but really, i took time out of my day to make this, so gimme some respect):
HERE WE GO! This is the basic form for your new species, but I would highly recommend adding to it and sprucing it up. The more details and thought put into it, the better.
Form with explanations:
Species name: What is your species called? You could also give us the meaning... What's the plural?: Is it the same thing said plural? Or different? I NEED TO KNOW! Lifespan: Around how long does your species live? Don't be afraid to push the limits we have in the rules. But I don't think we want ones who like to like, 100 years old. That would be a whole lot less fun. Height range: Average height when grown. Weight range: How light are they usually? How heavy is the limit?
Diet: WHat does your species eat? The limit of rocks... No one EVER will eat rocks here. Unless you're a chicken. Habitat What type of terrain do they prefer? Does your species like a cool, dark forest area, or a warm open desert? Personality: What does this breed usually act like? Of course make sure to leave a bit of space for that one odd ball who doesn't act like they should, but we want to know what makes this species' mind tick.
Build: What does your wolfs structure look like? Are they tall and lean, short and strong? Broad-backed? Details: I like them. Common coat colors: What colors are the most seen for this species? Rare colors: Is there a coat color that rarely emerges? Some hue few wolves of this species posses? Do tell! Rare/common markings: What kind of markings are common? Are they wildly painted, or are the marks more reserved? Give as much information as possible! Typical mutation(s): What makes your breed different? Antlers, wings, you name it! Also, I forgot to add that it would be nice if you told us a limit of mutations for your breed. Stuff that we don't usually see in it. That way we know what belongs in the store Rare mutations: IS there something that can be seen every so often in your breed? Maybe a butterfly type of wolf only has 1 out of 15 pups with antennae. That sort of thing.
Other facts: Anything else we need to know about your species? You don't have to put it here, in fact, i would love for you to add to the form, but in case you have last minute details that have no category, this would be where to write 'em up! Species origins: How did your species come to be? I LOVE ME THE STORY TIME! But seriously, it would be cool to see some tails of beginnings and whatnot. Like, I'll love you all forever. Species legends: Any myths or folk lore your species has a place in?

Also, If anyone wants ideas, look up weird animals or something for mutation ideas. Also, mythology is a great place to find some seriously weird creatures for all your creative needs! Or, you could just talk to Monster. She may or may not help a few people out.
Also, just a thought, but if you PM me the whole kingdom, phylum, blah blah blah, and maybe add the names of your breeds family and scientific name thing, I will love you forever and give out 5 SD to those who make up suitable names. (use Latin or Greek, cause that's how the pros do it)
P R I Z E S ! !
For anyone who participates and makes a real good effort, you will get 250 SD. Nice sum for just going and being creative, right? We will accpet 5 total winners for breed creation, however the top three will recieve these lovely prizes!: - 1st: LAND FOR THE NEW BREED+ A BANNER DEDICATED TO YOUR BREED

TOP EXAMPLE IS A BANTUI FOX. Species name: BantuiWhat's the plural?: Bantus Lifespan: Mature 'Adult' at 10. Lives 15-20 years. Height range: Depends on animal counterpart, but usually not more then 40'. Anymore is considered odd; and will lead to being ostracized from group. Weight range: No more than 150 pounds, but differs depending on animal counterpart. They can weigh as little to 50 pounds fully grown.
Diet: Carnivious- although depending on animal counterpart, can be Omnivours aswell. (Ie; wolfs eat meat, and say counterpart is a moose- moose eat veg. So your Bantui can eat meat, and vegetation.) Habitat Bantui can usually be found in wet climates, preffering islands and small enclosures to seperate themselves from others. Personality: Bantus are very secluded, and dislike other breeds of wolf. Because of there oddity- they tend to only associate within there species. They are peaceful for the most part- but depending on Animal counterpart, this can have an affect on personality; although very minor. Bantui tend to think they are the best, and are extremely snotty and discriminative towards even the slightest oddity (even in there own species)
Build: Builds range from thin- to large; in rare cases. Most of the time the Bantui stick to the small and agile side, it is rare-but not unheard of to have larger wolves. It all depends on the animal counterpart. Common coat colors: Coat colors usually are dark, and are in the spectum of red, brown, black, etc. The coat color does not have to match specifically with animal counterpart this is (only if they have a sort of treadmark that gives the counterpart away already, Ie- bison horns, etc.) Rare colors: Rare colors are considered brighter things, such as white; yellow, etc. These wolves are considered an oddity, and will be looked down upon the Bantui tribe, as there animal-counterpart is probably uncommon. Rare/common markings: There is no limit to markings, as long as they pertain to animal counterpart. (ie- no hearts on there side or something, because it is /not/ an animal print.) Acceptable- leopard prints, cheetah spots, horse stockings, patterns on fur that match a specific breed of animal (ie paint horse. xD) Typical mutation(s): Depends on animal counterpart, but every Bantui has more than one tail, by the age of 10. (can grow up to 3 tails in there lifetime.) Please only have 1 mutation from your Animal counterpart; it is considered /very/ rare to have more than one mutation. Some acceptable common animal counterpart mutations are- Hooves, talons, horns, wings. Rare mutations: Uncommon, (although not unseen) -Beaks, gills, reptile skin, lizard tail, cat eyes, etc.
Other facts: When a Bantui breeds, it cannot pair up with any other species than another Bantus. The offspring will /always/ die, because regular wolf genetics cannot handle the animal counterpart gene within Bantui. When a Bantui breeds with another Bantui, it will take on the animal counterpart of one parent. Each pup is different, ex- pup 1 takes on moms counterpart, while pup 2 takes on dads counterpart. Pup 1 does not need to look similar to mom, but must have the same animal-counterpart.
Most common counterparts are things like- Foxes; and other canids. Most uncommon are things like polar bears, small prey animals (ie rabbit, mouse.) reptiles, etc.
When listing your Bantui breed, it will be like this- Bantui fox, Bantui deer, etc. Must include animal counterpart.
Please be serious when making a Bantui; don't pick a stupid animal-counterpart such as a Chicken, or something. It defeats the purpose of the work I put into making this breed. Species origins: It is unknown exactly what happened to create such an odd breed of wolf; but many think that long ago there were no bounds in love and animals, so a wolf could pair up with any animal it saw fit; and eventually led into the division of the breed, and now we have wolves who look like wolf and a different animal. Species legends: There is also a legend that Bantus were the first wolves to inhabit the world- and that is why they are so keen on keeping to themselves.

Species name: Vires What's the plural?: Same as above. Lifespan: They grow up fast, being mature at only 3 years of age, and depending on how hard their lives were, and if they have health problems, this breed can live to nearly 24 years, though about 20 is the average. Height range: They are anywhere from 36in. to 43, anything taller is not full blooded, and therefore not accepted, and shorter is very rare, but not impossible. Weight range: This species has a relatively flexible range between stocky and slender builds, with nearly all wolves having plenty of strength, so their weight ranges from 85 to 145 lbs.
Diet: This species is made to survive, and they are almost totally omnivorous, but like any wolf ,they would rather eat meat then a plant. Habitat You will find this species inhabiting any area with a rather high altitude, meaning they prefer mountainous areas. But they will go further down, into hills. The only place you will probably not find one of the Vires kind is in lowland areas. Personality: This species has a rather kind factor to it, being ready to help those in need and often lending advice to those who need it. They are quite wise, and learn from experience, and the telling of tales by their parents and other family members. Going along with the legends about them, the Vires will often be seen staking out areas where the packs who believe in Reika, guarding them from the sidelines, and some of them offer assistance to alphas deemed worthy. They are strong, and often quiet unless spoken to, though there are those who act as exceptions. The species as a whole is often more concerned with others then themselves, and can be the best friend a wolf ever had, but those they dislike will know it and Vires, being renowned for their often suborn attitudes, rarely let go of anything. IF a wolf offends them, a grudge will be held until either the other wolf is dead, or they are presented with a real good reason to let go. Vires are highly courageous and will do things that are 'dangerous' or 'stupid' without hesitation. They are also like natural lie detectors, learning from a young age how to find a wolfs' tells and spot insincerity. One would have to believe with every fiber of the being the lie they are telling before a Vires could possibly be fooled. Lifestyle/growing up: Pups grow up in tight nit family groups, usually consisting of 5-6 wolves. They are taught the history of their species, and learn many tales, as well as how to survive in the world once alone. They train and grow with their parents by their sides. At roughly three years of age the pups are given a choice: go out to find a new pack, and explore, or remain in the group. Even those who leave often end up starting their own family groups once they age.
Build: Often relativity slender, but with plenty of muscle to lend them power, though some have a more stocky sort of build. They always have long legs, though, and are very tall. You also wont find an overweight Vires( unless someone decided to stuff food down it's throat for some reason... Ew o.o) Common coat colors: This breed is more often than not a bright color, ranging from metallic colors, like golf or silver, to white, yellow, or other sort of pastel shades. Rare colors: Though they never come in dark colors like black, a few have been spotted that had pelts of green, blue, and other colors about midway on the dark to light color spectrum. Please note that these colors are rare maybe one out of 40 pups will be born with these slightly darker colors, so they shouldn't go cropping up all over the place. Rare/common markings: Every Wolf of the Vires species has distinctive marking that can be used to identify them. Most commonly their mark will be on their face, but that isn't always the case. Other markings are not super common, but are possible, but they never have terrible large markings. Typical mutation(s): Though it may not be a real mutation anymore, every Vires has bumps on their shoulders, where the bones for wings would be. They always have Slitted eyes like those of a cat, landing them far better night vision, and the ability to practically see in HD. Also, every one of the Vires has a mutation that is specific to their family. Each bloodline has mutations specific to them (talons, extra tails, venomous bite, the list goes on) The ONLY mutation that will never show up in a pure-blooded Vires is wings of any kind. Rare mutations: A few wolves have been known to have a special oil their coats make that allows plats to actually grow on the wolf. This is one of a the few rare mutations. The only mutations you will never see would be anything water related. Please remember that aside from the common mutations and ones inherited from the wolfs' family line, Vires never have other mutations. Choose wisely.
Other facts: Supposedly because of their past failure, it is said the Vires has a curse on it. This means that defects are relatively common in the pups, though few have been seen that were deadly. Species origins: The tale that has been passed down of the origins of the Vires is an ancient one, starting when Reika created wolves. It is said that the deity created most wolves equal, but there were classes among the breeds. Most were of a normal, or slightly elevated class, but then there were those made to serve. The Vires, wolves of courage and strength, were made to be guardians. They were granted wings, so they could fly high and low, and find those who needed them. But the Vires were not a perfect species, and so they misused Reikas gift. They became so overwhelmed by the joy of flight that their minds went bad. In an effort to stop their corruption, the goddess took their wings from them, leaving only bumps on their shoulders to remind the species of what they lost. Species legends: There are several legends associated with the Vires species.
One such tale is of the reason for their often elusive nature. The story goes that one of the first of the Vires was a very hard-headed fellow, and often went looking for trouble from those he called bad. The consequence was that he found it; a wolf who was much larger and stronger than he. The foolish male did not think much of this though, and preceded to taunt the wolf, saying that with his wings, why any attack from that big brute could be so easily dodged. This wolf laughed, not believing him at all. So the idiot challenged this wolf to attack him, and the wolf lied to him, saying that it would be foolish to take on one of the Vires. This increased the Vires' hotty attitude and he asked if this wolf was one of those who followed Rukia. The bigger wolf lied through his teeth and said he was not, and invited the audacious Vires to leave this place and come to the lowlands where his pack resided. Not long after that the Vires was attacked by the wolf's pack, and his life was ended by his stupidity. Reika, seeing this horrible thing, gave the species caution and the ability to better see through lies to prevent such things from happening.
Another shorter tale is not as old, and is passed through story telling from one wolf to another. It tells how once, when the darkness was growing, and the faith of the wolves was waning, one brave Vires was the one to suggest that Rukia be stopped with Reika's power. Though the Vires held their deity in the highest regard, and had more faith than any other wolves, they were made to keep the wolves best interest in mind, and so they did. Vires were sent to the packs, and tried to restore the faith of the wolves, but in a few packs they failed greatly, and were cast out by the Alphas. Now Vires are only welcomed in a few packs, and select Alphas are offered help and advice by them.
