Name: Almira Age: 3 Gender: Female Sexuality: Heterosexual
Base Color: White Markings: Light blue three-branched swirly symbol, concentrated at the center, meaning 'lucky'. Silver sparkles at the corners of her eyes. Mutation(s): A mixture of white, silver and a smattering of blue. The 'backbone' of the wings are white as her fur, while the hundreds of feathers sprouting from them are mainly silver, with a tint of blue. The length of her wings exceeds that of her entire body Eye Color: Purple
Defects: N/A
Personality: Almira does not believe in love at first sight. Or love at all, for that matter. Nor does she believe that gifts are artifacts of another’s goodwill. Or that friendship is a blessing.
What she does believe in, however is strength. The strength of oneself and strength of a pack as a cohesive whole. She believes that without strength, one is nothing. Those who are weak – not only physically, but mentally as well – are worth less than the dust on the ground and are not worth her notice or the acknowledgement of others. She detests weakness, and will only show her respect to those who can prove their strength of her. After all:
Friendships are nothing but opportunities for betrayal.
Love is nothing but room for blackmail.
Almira may come across as rather aloof, but she is fiercely defensive, proud and extremely independent. She will not stand for anyone slurring her name or reputation, and will defend her honour with all the ferocity and determination of a thousand wolves. She is, despite her rather feminine name, not afraid to bloody her teeth and claws, or to face down an enemy much bigger than herself.
Almira does have her moments, though. One thing she absolutely cannot abide is to watch others be attacked without any form of provocation, or to witness an unbalanced fight.
She might humiliate and put down others, yes, but would never attack without provocation or fight another to the death without a good reason. Furthermore, Almira cannot abide males picking on other females or bullying them. Call her hypocritical for condoning the weakness of some females, but such a matter has been deeply engrained into the very fiber of her being since young.
It will take much patience, much understanding and tolerance to become her friend. And even then, she might only classify you as a close acquaintance, but not her friend.
Only a few select wolves will be able to melt the ice and gain access to her heart. So far, none have done it yet.
History: From her mother, she got the love of strength. From her father, she got the distaste for weakness. Is it any surprise, then, that she is who she is today?
Almira was born into a rather large pack of wolves, who believed in destiny and predetermination. From the time pups were born, their pack Seer did a ritual to ‘determine’ the lives and futures of every one of these pups. Those who were born weak, deformed, or were ‘destined’ to die an early death, were cast out or killed even before they had the chance to live.
Almira, however, was special. The first thing the pack Seer noticed was the marking on her forehead, meaning “luck”. He looked at the silver sprinkles of fur at the corners of her eye, the beautiful gracefulness of her wings, and her aristocratic shape of her body and announced her “The One”. She was to be groomed to be her pack’s next leader.
As a leader, one had to be very careful about who they let in and who they trusted. Almira was taught to trust no one. Not even her parents or the current leader. She was taught to hide her feelings and never, ever to fall in love for the good of her pack.
One day, however, another group of wolves attacked them, and the pack could not fight them off. They scattered, and Almira ended up here, in these lands, anonymous. She did not mind, and has no particular wish to lead. However, the lessons she learnt from her previous leader would forever be with her.
