I Write Like...So, who do you write like? To figure this out, put your posts into the site. I recommend putting posts in one at a time and seeing who most consistently pops out. For me, I mostly got Rudyard Kipling. My most favorite book (well, a collection of stories) is the Just So Stories, which was authored by Kipling. I like the rhythm in his words and how he can evoke emotion using technical skillz in writing. Even if you don't like Kipling, his quotes tend to stick in your head. I have also read the Jungle Book (unabridged) and many of his poems. I am so stoked I got an author I know and admire <3 Soooo, who do you write like? [click]

Are we supposed to put more than one post? 'Cause I just used an old post and got the same response as you??

I put it several posts and do the test multiple times since vocabulary (regarding a circumstance in a plot) can skew a result. I also got Anne Rice in my darker plots, but in the same thread, I got Kipling. I got Mark Twain in my more light-hearted writing, but again, when I used other posts in the thread, Kipling came up again.

Cool shadow! Both those authors are awesome! Also guys, you are supposed to use recent pieces What's the point of finding out who you write like if that's not how you write anymore? I just retest and see who comes up most

This post got me L. Frank Baum
first post = Isaac Asimov
third post = J. R. R. Tolkien
second post = Jonathan Swift
second post = Rudyard Kipling
first post = Stephen King
third post = Stephenie Meyer
HERP DERP
lol so I never actually got the same aurthor, and I know for certain my writing is nothing like J. R. R. Tolkien's writing, most definitely not in that post.
But it was interesting to see the other names come up.
I wouldn't know most of the authors( I never pay attention to aurthor names of the books I read), so I gave links to the posts specifically, in case anyone knew the authors well enough to see if it's similar or not. Lol.

i ended up getting kipling for rox's post, but i was curious so i put in three fanfics for russia and america (characters from the anime axis powers: hetalia) and then i got vladimir nabokov each time. his style, oddly enough, seems to fit perfectly with the themes i used in those fanfics xD
i might put in a few things from my other characters on different sites or maybe bits and pieces of novels i've started and never finished just to see what i get.
i have a feeling it will end up being that my style changes depending on the characters since i fit my writing to match them. maybe i'll have one of my crazier characters here later and then you guys can see just how different even the descriptions of scenes are compared to rox's bright and curious outlook xD this site is really interesting though, thanks for showing us this oat!
