Okay, it's pretty obvious that Sermon has certain problems (multiple personalities), but those types of problems come from somewhere. Basically, I just need wolves to weave his life history with, take the place of wolves who bumped into him on his many ventures. And then, we can have Sermon desperately trying to keep secrets that he himself is just starting to piece together. But, basically, the point of Sermon is that he has inadvertently left a trail of blood and carnage to get to the life he has now. And, the pieces of his history are within each of his personalities--the memory separated into episodes of his most heinous crimes. He's willing to do a lot to keep the life he has now.
The basic run-down of this plot is that a wolf from Sermon's past shows up, exchanges some words with him, trying to ask him if he remembers the good old days when they were a bunch of rogues that raped, stole, conned, and fought any wolf who tried to get in their way. Sermon, as he usually does, wears a face of recognition while simultaneously trying to figure out who this wolf knows. (Turns out, the wolf that the wolf knows is Sermon... but Serm figures that it must be Preacher). It can be that they are a loose gang that get each other's attention by leaving a symbol somewhere--just for awesome points Serm can just come across the symbol or something on one of his hunts and that's how he meets up with this wolf for the thread.
Anyways, the wolf tries to get Sermon back in the group, saying that their little gang lost their luck when they lost track of him. He was "just the right kind of crazy" or something like that. They perhaps took advantage of Pulpit and Church (this was back in the days when there was only Pulpit, Church, and Sermon).
Now, Sermon refuses this sort of life nowadays, but goes along with the wolves, mostly because he is wondering about his past (he's missing HUGE chunks of it). He does a few bad things, but then tries to quit since it just doesn't suit him anymore or anything and he doesn't like what he's found out about himself in any case.
We can keep it quiet for awhile but then maybe we can have the old friend track Sermon down in the Dankov pack and try to make him come to terms with who he is. But ultimately, Sermon will choose pack life and his mate above all. And he's willing to kill for it.
So, basically, the summary of the plot is this:
1. Sermon's old friend sees him out and about and contacts him.
2. Sermon rejoins the "group" just to figure out a little bit more about his past--especially since this wolf is using his name, Sermon.
3. They do a con or just beat up on a poor, hapless wolf.
4. Sermon wants out and leaves.
5. Time passes.
6. Sermon's friend tracks him down.
7. They have confrontation, but Sermon chooses the mate. I want to discuss this with whoever wants to be Sermon's old buddy about what happens here.
So, the key players basically are Sermon and his old friend(s) and the wolf that they take advantage of or con. We need some con ideas. Maybe dump a wolf into slavery somewhere. This can be used for plotting later. And damn, I love myself epic plots and putting plot strings everywhere. Parentheses mean that they are optional spots. If you put ideas and stuff, you'll probably end up in the plot, LOL.
